March 2011. For the past 25years, I have been fortunate enough to be making and selling my pottery at renaissance festivals around the country. Just before Halloween, I experienced a very bad accident in my van coming back from a show. I suffered some temporary, yet severe, injuries that will prevent me from coming to your city this year. I'll miss everyone.
Whenever something like this happens, I find it healing to look deeper into myself and find new opportunities that have presented themselves. After all, isn't life about choices and making changes?
The universe has certainly tapped me on the shoulder and received my attention this time. I've found myself slowed down a bit and now I have time to focus on things that really matter.
Most importantly, I'm finding much more time for my relationships. For many years I've been so busy hurtling down the road, setting up an endless string of shows, that I haven't made much time for my loved ones. A near brush with death forces one to re-think priorities. more...
